Estate and gift planning at W. P. Carey
Leave a lasting legacy at W. P. Carey
Consider supporting the next generation of business leaders at the W. P. Carey School of Business with a planned gift. The ASU Foundation has a number of vehicles that can help provide you or your loved ones with additional income and/or significant tax savings — while making a difference in the lives of our students and the many communities we serve. The W. P. Carey Office of Advancement can help facilitate your unique vision. Feel free to contact WPCPlannedGiving@asufoundation.org with any questions.

"I am so inspired by our students, their goals, and how they want to have an impact now and in the future. It is an honor to support students and, in some small way, help them take advantage of all ASU and W. P. Carey have to offer by reducing the financial responsibilities related to attending college."
Amy Ostrom, Vice Dean and PetSmart Chair in Services Leadership

Leave a gift through your will or trust
A simple, flexible way to ensure that we are able to continue creating positive change on a global scale for years to come is a gift in your estate plan or will — known as a charitable bequest. An easy way to support our efforts is to give a percentage of your assets to the W. P. Carey School of Business by including a statement in your will or trust, or designating ASU as a beneficiary of your retirement or life insurance plan.
For a copy of our Estate Planning Guide or an Estate Commitment form, please enter your information below and a W. P. Carey representative will be in touch soon. We look forward to celebrating your generosity and ensuring your gift makes the desired impact.
Note: Before making any pledge or request, seek the advice of your financial planner or legal advisor.
The Cornerstone Society at ASU
When you arrange an estate gift to ASU, you become a member of a unique group of donors whose passion for our university transcends a single generation. No matter how far ASU has come and how far it may reach, there is still the cornerstone of Old Main, a symbol of our beginnings, on ASU’s Tempe campus. The Cornerstone Society honors supporters like you whose forward-thinking planning and preparation makes the future of ASU possible. Members of this special group receive invitations to exclusive member-only events and recognition in donor publications.

"I see it as a planning tool and a win-win. I wanted the scholarship to continue for my lifetime, my children's lifetime, and my grandchildren's. This scholarship will make that happen."
Andrea Vallee Van Essen (BS Business Administration ’79)
Creating a giving plan
There are a variety of ways to leave a lasting legacy at the W. P. Carey School of Business. Arizona State University accepts publicly traded securities, qualified charitable distributions (for those 70.5 and up), and other asset-based gifts like real estate, cryptocurrency, privately held business interests, and more. Gifting appreciated assets like these can give crucial support to your alma mater while providing you with significant tax savings.
We’d be happy to work with you as you navigate the next steps.
